Visit Highland Yacht Club as part of the Lake Ontario receprical program.

 

Arrival procedure:

  • Officer of the Day is on duty 6pm-9pm Monday-Friday and 9am-9pm on weekends & holidays

  • Prior to entering the gap, radio Highland Yacht Club on VHF channel 68 to contact the Officer of the Day (OD) for dock availability and assignment

  • If arriving outside of the OD schedule, tie up at any vacant visitors slip and check in with the OD once they begin their shift

We welcome visitors from reciprocal clubs to enjoy our facilities May through to September. We are a self help club, with no staff but we have an Officer of the Day (OD) on duty Monday - Friday 6pm-9pm and 9am-9pm on weekends and holidays.

Visitors are asked to:

  • Check in with the Officer of the Day

  • Present their club membership card

  • Fly their club burgee

  • Sign in with the visitors log book (located in the main hallway)

  • Not leave their vessel unattended overnight or for more than 8 hours

 

What we offer:

  • Visiting vessels are able to stay for up to 3 nights free of charge.

  • We don’t offer reservations so visitors slips are on a first come first serve basis. However we do have 10 deditcated visitors slips plus any vacant member slips. The dedicated visitors docks are the ends of the docks (O-S).

  • Visitors docks O, P, R & S have 30amp connections. All the rest of our docks are 20amp.

  • Visitors are welcome to enjoy our clubhouse, kitchen, washrooms, showers, BBQ’s. Ice is available for purchase and any HYC member can assist you to access it.

  • Club wifi info including current password can be found on the whiteboard in the sailors lounge.

  • There are 3 restaurants located within walking distance.

  • Enjoy a large beach just east of the club or a nice longer walk to a more secluded beach west of the club. Hiking trails on the top of the Bluffs are accessible from Brimley Rd.
